Words I Live By You never ask a woman her numbers: age, weight, and how many times she's been kissed.

As a cosplayer I am always looking to challenge myself in design and technique. I first fell in love with the art at my first convention: Anime Expo 2002. After I became more practiced in sewing I began sewing things for friends and eventually began accepting commissions. Even though I am too busy for most commissions these days, I am still willing to look at the details of someone's project. I was most well-known for getting things sewn very quickly. It was not unheard of for me to pump out a costume no more than 2 days before a convention back "in the day". While I am now more tedious with details and structure quality I am certainly more mindful of my time constraints when giving friends the OK to send along their fabric to me. I am very proud of my work and accept nothing less than perfect from myself. I am always still learning and improving, but things I display on this site as well as others are my labor of love and dedication.

Over the years I have made very good friends who share the same love of cosplay that I do. Each one has put a helping hand into this site and has calmed me from going on insane rages during a stressful convention season. From Tiffany who partners often with me in cosplay as well as offers advice for my websites (her charming husband included!), to Raven who enthusiastically showers me in attention when she is not busy taking convention photos for our gallery, and so so many more who allow me to lovingly use and abuse them in the name of anime. I am always happy to meet new people, but I can be very hard to get close to. I am generally very calm and reserved unless someone brings up heated topics, in which case I leap into the fiery flames of passionate debate.

I have indeed been sewing since I was 9 years old. My first project ever was a quilt my grandmother guided me through on her antique Singer. My first garment was a cloak that I made around 10 or 11 years old; the pattern which I proudly laid myself and made from start to finish alone. As I got more familiar with patterns I began drafting my own, always making good use of my dress form in this process. When I was 16 I took my first sewing class in college where I learned a lot about finishing garments properly. My style of sewing and design stems from my love of versatility and corsetry. I often try to incorporate corsets with my dresses that need a more dramatic waist, as well as think up ways I can recycle costumes for more than one use.

I do frequent some conventions and am gradually adding more to my yearly agenda. I always hope to debut new costumes somewhere and push myself a little more in expression and skill. Generally I am pretty friendly when approached. I have been told by many people I have an intimidating presence. If we are at the same convention, we will probably have something in common to talk about. I do not eat, sleep, and breathe anime, nor do I drone endlessly about fashion magazines and diagnostic characteristics of psychopathology. I am typically quiet until I feel the need to comment. I am not feeling angsty or out of place, I am simply enjoying my company. It will be very well known if I am upset for any reason, and I have never had inhibitions about telling people they are acting foolish when they have crossed me.

My only annoyance at conventions would have to be rude photographers. I do not want my picture taken when I'm eating! Or, if I am sitting on the floor in six inch heels, it is probably because I have blisters. This is me resting! It is not often that I am resting on the floor or shoving my face with pizza at conventions, so I am otherwise very open to anyone who wants a picture or wants to chat. My friends and I often try to get to all of the convention events so we can make our own reports here, so we are on the run one second and completely stationary the next. It is in my character to try and never break promises. If I say we will hang out later on that convention, count on it! I am a typical Scorpio I guess.
