We are a cosplay group dedicated to costumes, games and anime who love, as our name suggests, the villains, bad guys, and antagonists that drive all good story-lines. We sew, cosplay, write, and document our conventions and the other cosplayers who attend them. As a group we believe in embodying the spirit of our characters from the inside out. We strive to set the standard for costume construction and character study met with enthusiasm and an eye for details while facilitating a sense of community. Every year we plan our conventions, our groups and then assign our characters and duties.
If you are interested in joining us officially as one of our cosplayers or just want to join us for a one time gathering you should get in contact with us! We have recruited many’a friends into cosplaying with us randomly over the years without them being “official”. Additionally, definitely meet up with us at a convention. We post our schedules for every convention, so if you can make it to one of the gatherings we’re attending you will likely run into us.
Joining Wicked Cosplay as an official cosplayer means collaborating with us on group costumes and planning conventions/gathering appearances. You don’t have the be the best tailor to make costumes with us–we are all more than happy to teach. Most importantly we are friends who are accommodating and supportive of each other in our costume endeavors and enjoy attending drama-free cons together.
Some of our cosplayers have training and experience in print, trade shows, runway, product demonstration, and promotion. We are open to work directly or through a modeling agency that represents us. Additionally some of us are happy to commission art, costumes, props, and other fandom-based goods. Please see our contact page for how to reach us and note Wicked Cosplay is not an agency.

I started modeling in 2002 at the age of 14. I had “photoshoots” with friends that quickly progressed into Time For Prints, online media, and magazines. I first learned to sew when I was about 8 years old and it was not long before I figured out patterns, drafted my own, and adapted my skills to cosplay. Cosplay was the main focus of a lot of my TFP assignments in modeling and was for a very long time with a healthy dosage of alternative and high fashion modeling. As a cosplayer I am always looking to challenge myself in design and technique. My first anime convention was Anime Expo 2002. After I became more practiced in sewing I began sewing things for friends and eventually began accepting commissions.
My first project ever was a quilt my grandmother guided me through on her antique Singer. My first garment (and solo project) was a cloak that I made around age 10; the pattern which I proudly laid myself and made from start to finish alone. As I got more familiar with patterns I began drafting my own, always making good use of my dress form in this process. When I was 16 I took my first sewing class in college where I learned a lot about finishing garments properly.
I always hope to debut new costumes at conventions and push myself a little more in expression and skill. I am pretty friendly when approached, but it all really depends on the character I’m wearing at the time. I’m always in character as long as I’m in costume–breaking that character rarely; otherwise I tend to be quiet until I feel the need to comment, which should not be taken as any sort of angst but rather observing. Personality wise, I am straight to the point, do not tolerate people being rude, and try to never break promises.
