We’re getting so close!

The day started out cleaning up Nephi’s ears. It was amazing to find under the latex I neglected to peel off after cons reviled bright green paint from way back when I played the green fairy at Haunt. Nonetheless, a much needed scrubbing was in order. I think next year I’m going to need to get new ones… sigh.

Well, let’s see. Today I got that done and also had my first plastic attempt with Nepherenia’s updated jewelry!

Plastic confuses and frustrates me… I don’t know what to think of it yet. Its concept is still neat so I do plan to keep at it. Anyways, after that happened, I took a deep breath and got to spray painting.

Tomorrow once that is all nice and dried, I’ll weave the beads into that and retouch the paint on those too *uck*. I also got Wicked Lady’s jewelry going. I used a bake clay and spray painted it after much angst over the actual clay molding part..

Granted, it’s a horrible picture and the pieces are in threes, but that’s the gist of it. Once it’s all dried I’ll take a picture of it on. The prism was a couple days of coating with black glass paint so hopefully in the sun it will still shimmer like I want it to. I am also redoing Nepherenia’s earrings out of clay since the foam mold was… not sturdy. Those have their first paint coat on and I’m waiting for them to dry and give them their golden shimmer.

Payments for costumes have just cleared as well, so while I’m in town tomorrow I’ll be getting my wonderful bargain fabric since it apparently does not exist up here. I am now no longer making Zakuro at the moment and working on Sloth and Dokuro’s angel uniform. I am very happy we are all doing different costumes for Dokuro. Heck if Sabbat had her own angel outfit I would have made that instead of the school uniform. Did I mention my odangos suck?
